Hi. This is all new to me. Looking for help online that is. Depression has been with for as far back as I remember. I'm here for insight and to see if anyone gets 'past' existing like this.

Hi, hope you find the help you need. I've been here for years, and this place is very helpful with many caring people. Post as much as you like, there are many good listeners and it can be so therapeutic to get your feelings out. Welcome!

This is indeed a great place. Very caring.

I'm doing better than I have in years. I currently living in a community for people with mental illness and the psychiatrist here put me on a great combination of medication that's helping me enormously.

Are you seeing a psychiatrist? The right combination of drugs can work wonders.

hugs, Ceara

Hi. Welcome. Many people do, in fact, get better and move on. There are cases like mine, however, where the depression is treatment resistant and recurrent. You learn to manage the illness as best you can. Whichever you have, you'll find lots of support here.
