8.30am - phone call telling me if we dont pay x amount to our credit card our house will be in jeopardy. we sought legal advice from the debt peole and we were advised to pay £5 per month to all our creditors. when my husband hada job we could afford credit cards (weonly have 2)
through no fault of his own the company he worked for folded up. we have been paying said amount. now they are threatening us. I just can't cope with these threatening letters and phone calls. MBNA is an american bank, all our other creditors are british. We don't have thisproblem with them. I ended up losing the plot and shouting through sheer frustration, now i have to see a solicitor - oh how i love life.
why can't they just leave us alone. Why are they so keen to throw money at you, the other day they sentme a letteraskingif we needed a loan!!!!!!!!! ASSHOLES

God I'm sooooo bloody ANGRY.
THAT'S MY VENT FOR THE DAY.

Maybe because they are US it happened.
they are doing that to everyone and selling their
houses from out under people
then smiling big at the auction houses
where they buy a 2m house for 200,000
boy this world is greedy!!!!
Hope they dont sock it to you Jinny.
US people are losing their houses
because they bought those big TVs.
Ive worked at paying my credit cards until I don't owe.
Phew that is a good feeling.
And everybody and his dog now offers me
credit cards (of big amounts)
left right and centre!!!
Please everybody out there don't fall for it.
Im also glad I live in Australia
but it will happen here too.
Its a different version of the Great Depression
I reckon...
kind thoughts to you Jinny (((hug)))

Actually, your MBNA is English too, wholly separate company from its American cousin(s): MBNA Europe Bank Limited, Stansfield House, Chester Business Park, Wrexham Road, Chester CH4 9QQ.

I think you probably have to pay the "minimum" you signed/agreed to https://wwwa.applyonlinenow.com/UKCC...k?eid=3E39D489 though for credit cards:

If the balance shown on your statement is £25 or less, it will be the total amount of the statement balance; or if the balance shown on your statement is more than £25, it will be whichever is the least of 3% of the statement balance or the total of any Payment Protection Cover charges, interest, handling fees and default charges plus £5, provided that it will always be at least £25.

Since you agreed to that; can't just do only £5 without them agreeing to it also. Some creditors you can do that with but not where you have a legal agreement with already without their saying it's okay too. They can drag you into court and no solicitor will be able to help much since it's a valid legal document/agreement.
