I guess I've been alone way too long. The few people that really cared about me are gone. Now I find less reason to enjoy life.. and feel like people would rather me not be around.

I know exactly how you feel. I've been alone for most of my life. The only living thing I know that cares about me is my cat. It is difficult to learn to be comfortable being alone. And being depressed on top of that, you have a whole new level of difficult. I wish I knew what to tell you to help you feel better. Sadly, I don't. From my experience, just doing your best to get through each day, is somewhere to start.

Hello Gone girl, I see this is your first post so welcome to PC!
![]() ![]() Do you have a therapist? One way to decrease feelings of loneliness is to learn to enjoy your own company and doing things alone. Some people like me are introverts and enjoy being alone as it is, it is harder for extroverts. But perhaps you could make a list of activities to do that would be fun and you can do alone, and work on the list when you feel able. |
