I find myself sitting for hour and I can't get anything done, no matter how hard I try what can I do to make myself get things done?

This is notoriously normal in depression. I have this problem as well and don't have any answers. I do know beating yourself up doesn't work and makes you feel worse. Please be gentle and compassionate with yourself. Best wishes.

What helps me is to do one activity that I need to do, followed by doing something that is fun. For example, I'll wash a load of dishes then maybe play some of a computer game or watch a TV show, then wash more dishes, etc. Having fun in between the not fun chores helps motivate me to get them done.
Thanks for this!

It sounds like you're in a very difficult place!
The only suggestion I have is baby steps. Maybe allow yourself the hour then aim small. What is most important to you? Maybe you'll feel better for a shower, or a cup of tea/coffee/hot chocolate (delete as appropriate), then remember to tell yourself "good job" even if you don't believe yourself, saying it to yourself eventually makes a difference.
Remember it's how hard you have to try that indicates the achievement, not the size of the task achieved.

I move to another room, or leave the house. Change of location seems to be helpful for me. I know that driving with depression is one of the worst things you could be doing, but something like that which requires an intense focus will refocus your mind.
