Today is the birthday of someone who royally burned me. Our paths crossed or ran parallel for less than a year and it was nowhere near the time of their birthday. So, I don't know why I remember it; and it's been several years since we last spoke. Today's date popped up on my phone and I instantly remembered today is their birthday.

I wish I could forget everything about them.

I don't like talking about this person, but I just felt like I had to tell someone. I can't talk about it with anyone else.

How often do you remember this person?
Do the memories affect you always the same way?

I'm sorry you're reminded of this person. When the thoughts come, acknowledge them and let them float on through like clouds in the sky. Don't resist them. That will only make them stronger. They will eventually die down. Best wishes.
