I'm currently house sitting for a friend and it looks like two of her ducks are goin to die. I already told her about one yesterday but I realized the other one was sick this afternoon. I have been house sitting for her for years without any problems. I don't want to tell her about the other duck because there's nothing that can be done. There's nothing I can do but make the birds comfortable until they pass.

I'm just so tired of everything going wrong.

Well it's something in the larger scheme "going wrong " death is natural it's just another part of life , its outside your control , its not like you are choking the ducks to death with glee snd saying woops they died , your doing what you can to be humane a peacefull and offering comfort to the pair of ducks, so it may hurt to have to tell your friend about her ducks, you are doing out of love and basic fairness , you wouldn't want her returning to find out surprise two of your ducks passed on, so like I say it may feel wrong but it is not it's natural , its just not something we humans feel comfortable at delivering bad news especially when it comes to something involving permenant loss , you are faithfully doing your duties of a house sitter and friend to both your friend who owns the property and her ill ducks , if it was me i would be glad that i left things to you because you are doing the job well , so pat yourself on the back for doing a great job .

I know it's not my fault and it's a natural thing. My friend is grateful that I told her. Im just tired of so many crappy things happening all at once. I can think of maybe one good thing that's happened in the last couple months and this is just another one on the pile od bad so to speak. Waiting for the ducks to die so I can bury them is just upsetting and exhausting.

I have maintained vigils with family and friends and I can't argue about it being upsetting and exhausting, but remember if death was scheduled for convience nothing would ever die, because we all have a hard time letting go , there would always be one more someone with something to say or do one last time( i learned this when my mom passed away) she was so loved by so many who kept saying I wish....? one last time, she died in her sleep ,but considering how little sleep she was getting because of pain and trouble breathing that was very mercifull, and I had a hard time living on but never wished for one more anything because that would have been very selfish of me, do you want to talk about some of the other things that are weighing on you ? Maybe we could help carry things or help you work them so they become less dominoes lining up to fall ? Bad things happen to good people but it's how you handle those bad things that makes them linger around .
