It just feels like nothing matters anymore
I've been depressed for so long that honestly I don't think there's any turning back. This is just who I am now. I don't have much of a future ahead of me. No I'm not currently suicidal but it's hard to image myself lasting another 50-60 years or so...

The Skeezyks is approaching 70 years old. I never would have imagined I'd live this long... never wanted to either. Things don't always turn out the way we imagine...

If you don't mind me asking, what helped keep you going?

I've been in a severe depression on and off for many years. My pdoc changed my med combo because my daughter was going off to college and no one, including myself, thought it would go well. To my surprise, this combo has stabilized me and there is no sign of the severe depression or anxiety I had before. I hope it continues to improve. I had given up as well. Your answer may be just around the corner out of sight. Hang in there. Sending big hugs.
