Hi everyone, I've been battling depression for months now, and recently it's gotten to an all time high. My family is deeply saddened by it and they say they don't feel like I'm ever happy anymore. They're right, my past haunts me like crazy, and anytime I think I've won over my depression, I get sunk down into that deep, dark, abyss again. If you could take a few seconds to write something encouraging for me, I would be forever grateful. I've been bullied and harassed throughout my life, and all I hear are the words they said to me. I really don't know what do anymore, I hope you have a great day though.

Hi MM, I'm so sorry that you're battling depression. Are you on medication or in any kind of treatment?
Thanks for this!

Hi! Thank you so much for the reply, I'm currently on anti-depressants and had my dose doubled. It's helped a little bit, and I think it's helped my battle with depression a little easier. Have a good one.

Being told "You're never happy anymore" hits close to home. I can't say it's a magical cure-all, but burying myself in these forums at the darkest times has really helped me cope. It can be very therapeutic.

You are 100% welcome to share your thoughts here whenever you need to. You can come here and be as morose and sad, or as upbeat as you please!
Thanks for this!

Depression feeds on negativity and inactivity. So as well as meds fill your life with positivity and activity. So that's exercise, spirituality, philosophy, volunteering ,positive friends,
affirmations, creativity, starting projects and finishing them, yoga learning new skills etc. You will beat it if you have a mind to. Best wishes and positive energy winging their way to you

Thank you both for the replies. I'm hoping to get more active soon, and with school starting back up, I feel like now would be a very opportune time. I hope you both have an excellent day, and a great week!

Being outside is what seems to help me the most. I hope things will ease up for you
