That s a hard question. When I'm feeling good it's obviously so much easier. I'm motivated and feel proud of myself for getting things done and being "normal".
Gratitude list in my head of what I have. Being affectionate with family. Reaching out to family. Working out Look nice, make up, hair ok Connections with friends (hard for me unless I'm asking how they're doing). Being sociable and friendly in general. Studying German on Duolingo (free) and history on Great Courses (Not free) Being on a schedule. Doing what I'm "supposed" to be doing. Tackling my messy house. I live in clutter and it brings me down. When I'm depressed? It's sooooooo much harder. I'm always floored how I can be such a different "me". I TRY to do a few things: Gratitude list of my blessings even if I have to really search. Ugh. Keep myself looking at least clean. I have kids and I don't want to "look" the way I feel. For me, feeling greasy and coated just weighs me down more. I stay on here a lot and try to post at least a little bit. That's hard for me. This place lifts me up though. It's good to be able to reach out and get support. Otherwise I'm isolated. Sleep, sleep and sleep. It helps me out a lot. I try not to languish in bed though. I look at funny cat videos. Sounds weird but it helps a little! I love my cats and they help too. I never feel completely lonely and can even crack a smile. Books on tape, TV, Great Courses lessons. Keep my mind somewhat occupied. MAKE myself look at YouTube videos showing drawing techniques. I love to draw. TRY to do guided meditation for anxiety. Keep up with meds and am better about taking magnesium and Source Naturals Wellness. Go outside at least a little. I have a deck where I can sit for a bit. Fresh air. Mindfulness of birds, wind etc.... Hmmmmm.... I need to print out my own list for reference. When I'm down this list is a chore in wet sand.

Have you tried a weighted blanket? Many people find them comforting.
