I confess that I'm deeply saddened by all the brutality and cruelty in this world.

And how people are told to take meds when therapy or even kind listening would help more.

I know what you mean. I am afraid to check out the news for fear of what I'll read next!

Yes
It is horrifying and a very efficient recipe for further heart ache and anxiety.
I tried to avoid the news but it is everywhere.
And, I feel guilty when I ignore the news.
The world is going through the worst humanitarian crisis since WW2. What hurts me the most is people's lack pf compassion towards those who are suffering, including those who flee war and violence.
Unless it happens to them, they dont care and that hurts me.

Sometimes depression is caused by a chemical imbalance.

Confession ... sometimes I wish people (especially professionals irl) had a better understanding of me before they offer their advice or opinion. It could be that I already agree with their point of view. Or maybe I don't ..

Another confession. I wish more in this world understood or at least appreciated that hugs can be healing, for some people.

Warm fuzzies

Or cold prickles

I know which I prefer

I confess that I really must check and double check my posts to make sure I'm completely clear. This post wasn't intended to be disputing the theory of chemical imbalance. I think much may be written on that matter by some much more "educated" than myself... And for those who may not know, i used to be able to tolerate meds, and they helped when I could tolerate them.

I confess that I genuinely feel bad for some doctors irl who wish they could give more help and better care but are constrained by red tape etc

Hugs scare the crap out of me. I didn't get a whole lot prior to adulthood when I found my fiance. I'm a lot better with them now, but I'm always on guard.

All the same, it doesn't mean I that I'm against it. Hell, I crave it sometimes. Just to be held for a minute because I can't hold myself up anymore.

Wish it could be in person, but here's a hug for you Fuzzy.
