I know it sounds stupid, but I did.

earlier in the week, I through a packet of cookies away because I didn't like them, and instantly regreted it.

I came back to my chair and started crying for, wait for it,

for.. " the fate of the cookies"

then started cursing under my breath because I should be eating them, not throwing them away- and they were perfectly good, too (I mean I didn't like them, but they hadn't gone soft or anything)

Thank you for sharing this. It reminds me of a few of my own experiences.
Far from "stupid," your concern for "the fate of the cookies" in its own way reflects credit on your character.

I speculate complex mental-emotional dynamics are behind what you felt.

It isn't stupid. I had something similar happen.

I started crying because I thought my mom was mad at me. Then I saw that someone had drank half of a Gatorade that I was looking forward to drinking and I cried even harder. Because someone drank half of it and it was my favorite flavor.

Granted I might of been on PMS but yeah.

I can relate... both of you are far from “stupid”

Thank you for the honest sharing, may this continue (and I too feel less “stupid” having participated in this thread )

I keep foods I don't like for way too long instead of just throwing them out when I find I don't like them. I keep thinking that someday I'll get hungry enough to eat them but it never happens. They just go stale or rancid and then I have to throw them away anyway.

the saddest part of that is that, I don't think, in england, we even have gator raid.

I had it once, I think, and I suppose I might be able to get it on amazon- from what I remember of it it was nice

(which reminds me I really need to look for some twizzlers)
Thanks for this!
