Hello, I didn't post anything before.
My name's Frankie and I've been in therapy because of depression, anxiety and self harming, and hardly anyone knows about my struggle.

I am kinda nervous because my therapy ended about 5 months ago, and my therapist was thinking I''ve become close to being completely recovered, and I really felt better that time and during the summer, but as fall cane I started to feel down again and it scares the living **** out of me, because it doesn't stop anymore. And I am terribly afraid that I will become as depressive as I was back then, because I am not sure if I can handle it any more.

Hi Frankie,

Don't be afraid. If you handled it before, you can handle it again. Depression and anxiety can make you stronger.

If therapy helped you in the past, do you think you could make an appointment and talk to the therapist about a maintenance kind of situation?

My depression was always worse in the winter too. I used to get really scared when fall rolled around- hence my username Winterbritt. (my name is brittany)

Winter seems scary, but winter is just a string of individual days. And days are just a string of individual moments. It's much easier to be ok in each moment. My advise would be to make it a habit of reminding yourself, "i'm completely ok in this moment."

There is a disorder that as there is less light you feel more and more depressed or anxious or something of the sort. This is often caused by a change in the season and thus it is called "Seasonal Depression". If I were you I would try to get help from a doctor or a therapist to help with your recent developments.

Thank you.
Yes I guess the limited light and the fact that it's so cold outside are ideal for depression to grow.

I am not sure if the past gave me more power or made me weak, I kinda feel like I've been running for a long time and someone wants me to go on and on, and all my power is gone...

Well maybe ut's melodramatic but I feel like I have lost my skills to deal with it.
But thank you, I feel a bit better now
