I attempted suicide twice in a little over a week. I’ve just got out of the hospital and am now on Abilify. I feel sad I got so sick and caused my family a lot of pain. I wish I could explain what happened in my brain but I can’t. I guess I’m lucky to be alive but I still don’t feel OK. I’m following my safety plan and starting outpatient treatment tomorrow but feeling a bit alone in my experience. Anyone else struggle with suicidal ideation or recovering from past attempts?

I've never actually attempted, but I've had serious ideation.
If that's useful, I'm here if you need to talk. You really don't need to be alone right now. ![]() |

Good luck in your treatment. Wish I could fix all of our problems.

Thank you. I never thought my ideation would move to action. I have had ideation for almost 20 years. Stuff caught up with me and I have to figure out how to get to a healthier place.
