This is the 2nd week of this depressive episode.

I am too sad to do anything. I wanted to do a couple of things around the house today because the house is really starting to look like %#@&#!.

I vacuumed the area rug and folded the clean bath towels (which have been sitting in the dryer for 5 days).

And that's it.

I can't do anything more. I have a bit of schoolwork to get to. This is very hard to deal with. Other than school, work, and my internship, I never leave the house. I look at the week ahead of me and have no desire to get through it. I love my internship, but I don't want to go there. Not like this.

hi pinksoil...

didn't you just go through some kind of test or opening a business or something or am i all mixed up??

anyway, i thought you had... i wonder... is the depression coming after a period of major productivity? just wondering, maybe something like post-partum, the rush is over, calm moves in, your adrenelin needs to adjust to a more moderate pace... maybe i'm way off...

i go through it a bit at work... really had a lot of energy this summer, then fell ill and my performance at work is soooo slowly returning to where it was before... another thing i'm considering is that i have a different routine between summer and winter... partly that's why its taking me some time to get into a swing after my illness...

hang in there, as you know, this too will pass... maybe take a few deep breaths and enjoy the slower pace while it lasts... soon enough you could find yourself overwhelmed with projects again and maybe you'll be thankful for a little "down" time...

Give yourself credit for doing these things. They are valuable tasks that needed to be done and you did them! It isn't easy to do the things you need to do when you just don't feel like it. It's particularly an accomplishmet when you can do them on days you feel like this.

I hope you get your lithium level checked soon; it could be that it is affecting your thyroid function and that could be another reason you're feeling this way.

I hope you feel better soon. Too sad to do stuff.

I've had weeks, months, years like that too and I hate them. Nothing gets done that doesn't abolutely have to be done. I have to muster all my effort just to get necessities taken care of.

I'm sorry you are feeling so totally unmotivated by the saddness of your depression. I hope this episode doesn't last long.

If you find a rock we can hind under please let me know.
