I was engaged to someone who kept telling me I was “useless”
He even said “you don’t even look decorative”  This was when I had severe eczema I wouldn’t have accepted that abuse if...... “Put it in the past where it belongs” How Mr Medic? Please tell me how  (I didn’t say that. I would have received a ridiculous answer...)

  You had an..."interesting" fiancé.  No analogy is perfect but, if I had been hit by a truck and then taken to an emergency facility where the doctor told me to "put the impact of the the truck in the past where it belongs", I'd ask for a second opinion (provided I still had a mouth).
