Something good has to happen this year, right? Last year, was pretty much all ****. Year before that was the same.

It's like, I start to believe that I can get back on my feet and that I can work hard to become someone a little less pathetic. I believe it just for a little while and then **** decides to hit the fan. So is life, right? But I just want with everything that I have, for all that is holy in this screwed up world, to have a moment of peace. Just... just one good thing, you know?

I just want to breathe guys, that's all I want.

the past is a warning, not a present reality or an already written future. Hope is really important in our lives, sometimes it's the only thing we have. When I feel hopeless and depressed, I try to figure something that can distract myself... i.e. wash dishes, go for a walk. Sometimes I try to ask someone for help, in particular my therapist, but also acquaintances... Just to talk, confide or merely to let time pass. The important thing is to stop thinking and brood, although sometimes it seems just an impossible task.
I hope you'll understand... I'm italian, and it's very hard for me to make myself understoodAll I Want

I agree the past doesn't have to be the future, you are young and we all hope you can turn things around. Yet I know if we have had childhood adversity as you have had, it effects our confidence and resume. The following article rang true to me:

I think it is so important for young people to get a genuine "win" that they have worked for. (Including being allowed to fail but not being in an environment where the parents get too anxious about the failure--we learn from failure if we look at it positively and learn from it). When something positive happens we can build upon it. Unfortunately, it goes both ways....
