In view of your real-life experiences with doctors in your "forest", your personal reluctance to consult them is not only understandable but perhaps also a protection.

It is difficult-to-impossible for many depression sufferers to approach and negotiate with doctors from a position of strength.

Aye, we totally understand that doctors are a real pain. Some of them can be arsehole types and incredibly snooty, because I had the manager of my prior GP making up lies about my prescriptions, and covering up for this doctor who deliberately embarrassed me in front of a medical student in his room. The other year, I sent to get a drug prescribed for men's ED issues that I had definitely got many times before, and not since 2 years like they lied about, and the other doctors in that place gave me it, but this one guy blatantly refused after a horrible accusation took place, and after that, my whole family got letters a day later, stating we needed to depart, because "we lived too far away."

There is “no cure” for my allergy. They don’t even believe me, (apparently).. they don’t have time.. 10 minutes.

An allergy to liquid paraffin??

I’ve tried all sorts of approaches, and the result is similar. They simply don’t “get it” and some of them don’t even try. So I’ve given up on them (mad face)

Some of them have deliberately used scare tactics, and I did nothing “wrong”

If that doctor was looking “inside” me... a horrible mistake

Due to the chronic underfunding of the System I have no desire to “scream” for crumbs from the table
