How do you get past this constant feeling?

I don't hate who I am, I mean, I'm a decent person who does good for others. I know I have some nice qualities but I still feel like in almost every area of life, I'm not good enough

I always feel a day late and a dollar short to everything. It doesn't matter if people say "You are" because I just see it as being nice, It does not help me believe it at all. History has basically kept showing me I am not good enough. I'm not meant to be happy

I'm tired of feeling this but it always comes up. Help

I can relate For me, people in my childhood and early adulthood kept repeating that message, in a callous way, offering no positive suggestions or care

I also feel that I’m unlikely to be happy . Although I have been happy.. well bad things have happened (etc). I wish I had some positive suggestions. I hope this post isn’t completely “useless”.

I’m sending my best hopes for you, I think this can be overcome (good therapy is one thing that can help, even though it can take a long time)

And posting here can help

I'm sorry I don't have any great suggestions for you here. Perhaps this is a matter of building self-esteem? Here are links to some articles, from PsychCentral's archives on the subject of how to do that:
