Or people who persist in a triggering behaviour after I’ve asked them to stop.

I have been very depressed and apathetic...staying in bed most of the day....so I have been quiet. I wish somebody could help me feel a little better, but I know it's not possible....sigh

I too have a problem with people who persist in triggering behaviour after I have asked them to stop. I either try to ignore them or end up arguing with them...but I end up feeling hurt when I resort to arguing....don't know how to deal with them effectively.

Hi Desiree, sorry to hear how you are feeling. I too have this problem.

The advice I have been given, in the past, is too be assertive. It is just not the easy when my brain is so much slower than the people who throw abuse at you.

Would be great if we could all try and put some sentences together, see if any of them will work.

I will try one to start..... I find it helpful when people speak to me in a kinder and loving way.

I have been married 63 years...almost 64....
my marriage causes me the most stress...
I am very sensitive to anything my wife is saying...
i see my wife as being very critical ....
she is frequently making statements about me...
and mostly i perceive these as critical...

just this last year i have been speaking up...
i feel much better about myself...

I’m glad speaking up has helped you feel better. Most of the abusers in my life simply ignore me and continue with the abusive behaviour if I speak up

I think that’s the mark of an abuser. They continue despite a clear request to stop. . I wish I’d known that years ago, I might not be so ****ed up and wishing I was dead sorry about the triggering post. It’s been a horrible day.

I think it’s a stupid lie that I’ve “failed” as a friend. It’s exactly what the PUS want me to think, that I’m “good for nothing” thanks a ****kng bunch I can see through them and their lies and games

I have some off the bus talk---------5 days ago I lowered my celexa from 5mg to 2.5mg..at the same time I started taking magnesium every day...so far I am feeling better...there will probably come a time when I get real scared....but I am going to try
to deal with it without going back to my usual 5 mg...

They are often a bit to nice and are focused on their own interests, wants and needs.

I worry about people who blame/shame/judge/criticize/take down...

I also don't like people who are doing the 7 deadly habits...not on the bus
but in my home life..

on the bus we help not hurt...
