I can’t like Narcissists who pretend to care

Or who, at best, only care for some. And not those who, for whatever reason, THEY deem to be “beneath” them

I believe everyone is worthwhile

If I hadn’t been so freakin “immature” (my “fault” at age 16, naturally ) maybe I could have been a doctor. I was quite smart then .. before all the years of abuse and depression/anxiety plus the wrong psych meds completely ****ed me up

When one door closes, another one opens. I relate to you completely, FuzzyBear, because I personally have passed many good opportunities due to my anxiety and self-inflicting thoughts, but you know what I've learned? Time is always forgiving, and you said you were planning to become a doctor, right? ^^ You have so many more chances ahead of you, and I'm confident that you'll receive what's best for you~

It is only my opinion, but an inability to "like" narcissists does not at all reflect discredit on you.

Perhaps the key question is why some, including any number of us in this forum, feel shame for not liking those who harm or have harmed us. What, or who, put it into our minds that we should have positive feelings toward abusers?

Narcissists are wolves in sheep's clothing. Why do so many people fall for their charms?

Being immature for your age shows that your parents failed to raise you with the skills required for adulthood.

I am more wary of someone being a little too nice. We are experienced at spotting them. I am thankful to have learnt this skill.

It just annoys me that so many people think these people are so great.....

Thank you dear person (grouphug)

They really hate us when we see through them :-(

It annoys me too that so many people think these people are so wonderful

I was always targeted by bullies when I was a cub. And the PUS didn’t help me develop any skills to “deal” with the bullies. And the PUS abused me too

I don’t like it that only ..... people care about me at all irl. It’s scary. But of course, to admit to being scared equals “weak” to all the judgers in this world.

I guess.. words are sometimes all I have

And I was forced into silence for too long.
