I've spent the past four hours at the hospital. Good chance I'm spending a lot more.
Possible trigger:
I'm tired, I'm sad, I'm hurt and I'm pissed off; just like the other times this has happened. I had to fight her tooth and nail to come into the hospital, she became resistant when she realized what parking lot she was in. I just don't know what to do anymore. This happens anywhere from once to three times a year and I have no clue how to get her to give a **** about her life. Who am I to do it anyway? I mean, I'm nine kinds of screwed up and have suicidal thoughts all of the time. What business do I have to try and get her to stop this? The thing is that I've been there and I know how it works, I understand the ****ing agony you're in prior to doing it. But I don't know how the hell to stop it for anyone.

Don't worry, the psychiatrists are there. They'll do something. Trust them. Don't listen to people who think negatively about an entire profession just due to their "bad experience."

It's not your job to fix her. It's your job to love and support her to the best of your abilities, which it sounds like you are. It hurts so much not to be able to save people we care about. However I believe you are doing exactly what you should be. You've helped her access a safe space and professional help. Shes not alone. What a wonderful sister you are. Please dont be so hard on yourself and I hope your sister gets what she needs. Hugs.
