Hi folks! I'm brand new to this forum, so forgive me if I make any missteps.

I had a question for you: I've read time and time again that an established *routine* is important in helping alleviate symptoms of depression.

For me, right now in particular, I have no routine. Life is chaotic (due to my own personal lack of organization and routine).

Do you have a routine that you find is helpful? If so, what is it?

Hi, Estragon1976, and welcome to Psych Central! The main thing about depression is for us to be up and doing even if we don't feel like it. So, a routine such as getting out of bed, washing up and dressing, eating breakfast, and going for a walk is a good start. Okay?

Hello. Welcome to PC. I start my day with positive affirmations, meditation and a healthy smoothie for breakfast and then try to follow a plan that I create the day or night before.
