I just can't get excited. It is now less than two months until we embark on a fabulous holiday in Europe. My boyfriend is beside himself with excitement looking forward to the riverboat cruise. Me? Meh.

I hate depression. I have every reason to be happy right now - great relationship, great support network, things to look forward to - yet these things don't perk me up at all as they should. I have every reason to be enjoying life right now yet it just isn't happening. Aaaargh.

As they should, or as they would in a person whose moods - the whole neuropsych network that produces moods - were working "normally?"

May your moods allow you some joy and happiness when you go on that holiday.

You actually might find yourself getting more excited about the trip once it’s closer to the time. Two months is still a long way off considering all the daily things we have to think about and do like go to work or clean house or do laundry.... Then there’s packing for the trip which I really hate doing... I honestly probably wouldn’t be excited until the day I was actually starting the trip.
