I don't know how to start this off. Basically what I want to say is that I'm mad at my parents (and some friends as well but they're not as important here) for emotionally tarnishing me and expecting me to grow up in a sane manner as my friends and other people in my community. Now I'm in my early 20's plagued with everyday anxiety & whatever crappy problems I'm experiencing mentally. It's like, "I'm sorry I can't be "normal", but what did you expect?"

I hate being independent sometimes because whatever I do is seemingly wrong, wrong, wrong! Got a part-time job? You're wasting your time! Not going to pursue a Master's? You're wasting your money, you don't know what you're doing! Not going to go down the medical path my friends and peers are doing? Well, might as well be better off in the streets! And what's worse is my past haunting me, haha.

I've finally took the chance and scheduled an appt. for anxiety (gotta start somewhere) on campus. Fingers crossed I can get some help Sorry this has become a rant, I didn't want it to be lengthy

Good for you to get that appointment for anxiety. Hopefully talking there will help you, as well as venting your frustrations here!

Fantastic work on booking in for your anxiety. I would strongly recommend bringing up cognitive therapy. Your therapist should be able to put together a plan for you so you can change your thought processes. Although simply venting is often very helpful, if you suffer from anxiety episodes or panic attacks, some form of cognitive therapy is always best.

Just do you. It is your life, your choices. Be happy.
