For the last years or so I was chasing the wrong thing... a "Cure for Everything" I ignored the fact that there are more and more studies being published on neurology and neuropsychiatry and we will surely have a Cure for Everything one day... I was ignoring my personal incompetency for that subject..
Now that I've gained some insight, I realize it's theoretical chemistry that I always wanted to do. I am going to learn mathematics applied in physical sciences, I am gonna do a PhD in theoretical chemistry and continue to work as a physical chemist, searching for whatever that holds my interest then. I believe it might be Computational and Theoretical Chemistry. It doesn't matter and I shouldn't waste my time predicting what'll hold for me in 5+ years from now to me. I'll be me always but science won't be. Thanks to people like me, in a good way. I always wanted to be a hero and save the world... it doesn't work that way. I will be a hero, of course, but in my field of expertise, interest, and competency. I am inspired by the film the Theory of Everything. I was hating mathematics but I've accepted there's no way in hell I will be a scientist if I keep ignoring mathematics. I've realized it subconsciously months ago that's why I believe I did great at my physical chemistry examination last month. The result of the exams are yet to come, as it's just ended, but I do believe I'll make my teachers proud of me once again. Life's given me lemons, I'll make lemonade. Goodbye, pain. |

I'd be lying if I said I never liked physical and inorganic chemistry. I'd be lying if I said I don't like the theory of organic and analytical chemistry... I'd be lying if I say I don't want to make the people who think I am extraordinary in my own way proud.
A lot of people have called me "fool," "idiot," "crazy," But I know, I can overcome my disability and still make a difference in the world just by doing research in a field of my interest and utmost competency. No need for fancy labs and white coats. Mathematics is the new door to me. Thank you, Dr.Hawking, and my supportive friends, for guiding me... |

I don't know you and I'm not sure what your issues are, but I get the feeling you're a very intelligent and determined person. I do believe you will succeed in your chosen field. I've never been a science enthusiast but I've always respect people who help humanity make steps forward and you're destined to do that, in my opinion. Best of luck to you

Thanks all! As Dr.Hawking put it...
"... We have this one life to appreciate the grand design of the Universe. There's still plenty more to find out. We're all time travelers entering together into the future. Let's work together to make that future a place we want to visit... in the next one hundred years, we'll embark on our greatest adventure. Our destiny is in the stars... So remember to look at the stars and not down at your feet." R.I.P Last edited by Anonymous40127; Nov 22, 2018 at 08:28 AM. |
