As an incredible geek, I can relate to the urge. Still I fight it as I'm convinced that I wouldn't look good in the uniform.

I sprayed the pc enterprise psychadelic with rainbow spirals and big flowers. Nowhere is tech advisor, choses the cool planets. soft lights and music on board....ready to go....

The crew was very excited to hear that I've made all Thursdays Bermuda shorts day. On the bridge there was a great deal of excitement when we upgraded the main screen to high definition but ultimately morale plummeted when we found we had to get a new cable box from engineering. The planned viewing of Caddyshack on TNT has been postponed. Also, the little federation of planets pin I press to talk is broken and sends all my messages to the ladies wash room on C deck. I was heard telling six stalls of women to fire torpedos. I don't think I'll ever live this down. In the holodeck we've been running a Bob Hope thanksgiving special and the turnout has been extremely low. It would seem after hundreds of years of entertaining the troops from both this world and the next, Bob is running out of steam. The chief medical officer says my head defies science as all hair transplant and growth chemicals have failed. We've cured death but I remain the only bald man in the future.
