I’m not doing well, I feel alienated at work, I keep having sleep issues, I am underemployed and that’s not secure, and there’s so much more. I tell my therapist everything is fine though.

Maybe it would help if you told your therapist the truth? He/she might be able to help. Just a suggestion.

I haven’t found a way to get past this irl. Hopefully you aren’t in this forest (irl) and talking to your therapist will help

Maybe, could it be easier to tell your therapist how you are doing if you write your problems down or you write a letter to your therapist?

I have a similar problem, I tend to behave as if everything was OK, I am always fine, no problem, always happy

It's hard to be depressed, but it is harder to pretend to be OK.

Don't. It won't do you any good.
