I phoned the samaritans because i felt overwhelmed with all my problems .
She spoke to me for longer than they usually do but she asked me so many questions towards the end . she wanted my name , my kids name and ages , all the places I've lived before and where i live now . im convinced now that she must know me and must of been asking questions to confirm it . i told her everyrhing she asked even though i felt a bit uncomfortable . so if she does know me she knows all my personal problems . i feel really weird . she must not me why else would she ask me all those questions . my anxiety levels are through the roof now

Aw, hang in there cryingontheinside, you're a real fighter you are. You're doing flippin' well considering everything. And good on you for reaching out to the Samaritans as well. I've never used their service before.

Maybe all the questions were simply to keep talking with you? That's what I think it was. Just talking.

You're welcome. Yes, I definitely know about paranoia as well.

Do you mind if I suggest something? It's not much but for me it's something and you've probably heard it before anyway.

One technique I pull from the toolbox for my paranoia/suspicion is practising the 'letting go'[?] When I catch myself dwelling or obsessing, I shift my focus away from it - just shift my focus away from it - all the time, and continue doing whatever it is I was doing. Because the basic 'themes' which keep entering my mind haven't really changed over the years but I can, at least sometimes, try to look at it objectively as more like clouds floating into my awareness, so to speak. I can either keep staring at the clouds [obsessing/worrying] or I can just look somewhere else and carry on walking along the path - my mood instantly begins to change [a bit]. Which is what you're doing really by watching a movie.

If the mental health field can give us something better I'll let you know, my friend.

As 1 who suffers with parinoia as well I would have assumed that she was trying to find all of this out in order to call the cops on you. The more information she has on you the easier she can make it for the cops to find you, but seeing as how you posted this hours ago I doubt that's the case now.
