Do you have trust issues?
What if anything has helped with this?

Do you find your gut instinct about others often proves to be “correct”

How long does it take you to make a judgment about others?

Are you open to changing your mind about others?

Do you categorise others? If so why? (For example “all good” - worthwhile or “not good enough” - not “worthwhile” )

I don't trust anybody after loving two cheating men. obvi I am not a good judge since trusted them bareback. I keep a close check on my third and current lover. he seems faithful but so did the last two till discovered

I can trust too soon.
Then I over analyse from there on in.

I read too much into stuff
It comes from being lied to so much in the past
It makes it harder to know if people are being truthful

I don't speak up enough for fear of getting it wrong
I like to see the good in people

I also can sometimes trust too soon

I’ve been lied to a lot in the past also
And sometimes I also read too much into stuff

I also like to see the good in people

Why do you think this is, I’m not sure why

Maybe because we’ve been bitten by so many in real life

Bitten by family members

My family tells me I'm too trusting. I also tend to believe most people are telling the truth, because I am very honest. I'm not sure how to learn to read people better. But maybe there is no way to.

I try to take people at face value .. some people have said I’m too trusting. But sometimes I get a gut feeling about someone. I think it’s probably healthier to assume people are being honest unless we are sure they are lying.. but not to trust them with too much personal information unless they have proved to be trustworthy. Even then I’ve sometimes been disappointed in people.

Not sure if you would say I have trust issues or not.

I used to openly trust - until they proved I should not.

Now .. I do a step by step thing. I allow them a little info and see how well I can trust tyem with that. If that proves good, I give a little info a tad more private. And so on. But never totally - except for my spouse bc he needs to know me inside and out so we understand each other.

That was just something I learned I had to do. I still hate myself for doing that (not being openly honest about everything with everyone).

I try to never judge anyone on face value - so I don't really have gut instincts. I do recognize a different type of knowledge when meeting someone for first time at times - but it is not allowed to be spoke of per forum rules, so I will leave it at that.

I do categorize - but only after they have had ample time to demonstrate their character to me. I do this in order to keep myelf healthy. I never label though. I simply put them into categories pertaining to how much trust I can allow them and how much and what type of contact is healthy for me to have with them.
