@HappyCrafter have you ever read 'The Woman in White' by Wilkie Collins? Your picture here reminded me of it. I first read it at age 14. I was sitting in bed one night with a storm outside reading a really spooky passage. My heart was racing! Haha. You might enjoy that novel.

I'll add it to my list of books I need to read!! Have you read anything by Shirley Jackson? She wrote the Haunting of Hill House. There have been 2 movies and a Netflix mini-series thingy "based" on it, LOL The Haunting from 1963 is my fav version. It's in black and white, which suits it perfectly. I love a good Victorian Gothic Supernatural book or movie!! They are so creepy and fascinating!! Vincent Price did several. I have some of his movies too. And Mr. Poe

I find absolute beauty in my little kitty when she crawls up into my arms to be petted. She fits perfectly and purrs away. Her tail swishes and she stretches out. She's soft and warm. I love her so much.

I find beauty in nature. Whenever I drive, I often look at the trees (while also looking at the road!). They are so peaceful to me. There's something about the color green and plants, that really puts me at ease.

I find beauty in the profusion of flowers in my town. I got a huge, gorgeous bouquet from my daughter from the local market which cost $10 and had exotic flowers and huge sunflowers amongst others. I love the beauty of flowers.

I find beauty in art. I'm a digital artist and I belong to DeviantArt, a huge online community. I love browsing the gallery of artists there and saving works to my favorites.

Your work is Amazing!! I would love to see more of your work! How does a digital artist work? I know nothing about that field. I agree; landscapes are enriching. I love to soak up as much as I can.

Did you see the Girl with the Pearl Earring? There is a scene where the artist is teaching Scarlett about how light changes colors. They are looking at the clouds and seeing how they are not completely white. Some of it is grey, some it bluish.

Did you see Pride and Prejudice with Kiera Knightley or the version with Colin Firth? When she is traveling with her aunt and uncle, they go to the Peaks. We see Lizzy standing on one of the cliffs, the wind whipping her skirt around her. She is dwarfed by the sheer scale of the peaks. It's a beautiful shot!

We went to Spain when I was 14.

We saw this painting in their art museum "El Prado " (the park or meadow). It was in a room alone with a mirror positioned at a 90 degree angle and a bench.

Seated on the bench and looking at the painting in the mirror, you could see the depth.

Stunned, I could see the people in the painting standing behind each other all of the way to the very back. Velasquez had astonishing command of light in his work.

I am now 62. I remember that to this day. It took my breath away!

Thank you! I do it as a hobby mainly. I'm still learning a lot. I hope one day I can do it professionally. I have not seen those movies you mention. But they sound like something I would be interested in.

Speaking of movies, there's beauty in cinema. A movie with a great story, beautiful scenery and good comedy is The Quiet Man: The Quiet Man - Wikipedia

It features John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara. It takes place in Ireland. It's my favorite movie of all time.
