How do I become a more likeable person? How do I stop being a negative person? I try to be positive when talking to people but they still don’t like me. They usually reject me. It hurts. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I take an interest in others. I also have often been rejected online. I always blame myself for my mistakes and I blame myself every time I’m rejected. I see others being happy in groups. I’m a loner I suppose. . But I want to be more social. I try now to always be very careful what I say as being rejected hurts me so much. I also don’t want to hurt anyone. It bothers me when people don’t like me. Do you think therapy would help me?

(((((mountainstream)))))

Do you love yourself?

I have experienced this when not feeling confident and I have been lacking self esteem.

Thank you Thirty shades. I find it hard to love myself. I have a harsh inner critic.

Self love takes a lot of practice.

It does not come naturally to us.

I abandon myself very easily when faced with problems.

Being overwhelmed gives me a prolonged spell of low self worth.

I could have written this myself. My therapist tells me that I often imagine these rejections when they are not based in reality. She says “it’s only thoughts”. I’m not always sure about it. But maybe you could think if this could be true with you?
