I've gone through yet another one of my low phases this week. I cried a lot. Loudly and what would seem like without any reason. It was painful. Now I just feel nothing. Everything feels pointless. I'm not ready for university to re-open (next week).
I really want to escape. I need to run away. From my house from my life. I feel like I need a break from everything. Even though I was on summer vacation (watched some Gilmore Girls, a few movies) I was still studying and conducting my research. Still went to and from the hospital. And I really just wanna run from it all and do nothing. Maybe I feel burned out? I don't know I planned to stay at my university's hostel with a friend next week. I told her about what I'm going through and she said we'll relax and party. She's being very supportive even though I feel like I'm getting in her way (which she insists I am not). Also this gives me the opportunity to group study for upcoming tests, which is always more productive than trying to tackle the syllabus alone. Ever since I've planned this out I've started feeling better, calmer. I still feel low though. The weather here is somewhat better so that has contributed to uplifting my mood too. Does anyone know what I'm feeling? Can anyone of you relate? And do you think it will help me to stay in a new environment for a week? Away from home and work? |

Sorry you're feeling low. Reminds of myself when I am feeling sad, tired and burnt out. I hope you can find some relief. That is a nice thing your friend has offered. She does sound supportive. Only you know what is best for you. Sending good thoughts your way.
