I took the day off from work today. The reason I did was because I had an appointment with an MRI. I got to the place and then was told that my appointment had been cancelled. So I wasted a day off from work to go to something that never happened. They didn't call me to tell me that it was cancelled. This has never happened before.
Well, for the day, I visited my friend briefly. He gave me some paper towels and toilet paper, which are two items impossible for me to find and buy. It was a nice day emotionally despite it all. |

Still worried about shutdowns at work if things get bad enough. Hopefully my workplace will be designated an essential service so we'll stay open no matter what.

I almost feel ashamed to tell about it, but I feel very well (new meds).
Hope others will feel well too. The covid-19 is scary of course, but for now I am OK about it (I understand the dangers. Perhaps that's why I feel so OK being in the risk group because of physical dieases). I enjoy everything from prayers, cooking, listening to a bird outside and more. Life is so precious! |

My employer falls under one of the categories on the list of essential services just put out by the province, so I don't have anything to fear as regards to shutting down, at least in the short term. I'm still anxious about what the new economic depression will mean for the business, but that's all long term.

We have to wait and see. I think we should be prepared for that. The most important now is to survive! Afterward we have to take the world as it is, eat what we get either we like it or not, use our cloth and shoes a bit longer then before ... May be we will have to drop our vaccation because it becomes too expencive. That's OK, we can enjoy the beauty of our parks, forests, mountains and waters. We can enjoy the sun in the summers wherever we are and most places have an indoor public swimming pool. Some even have an outdoor pool. People have always survived crisis, war and so on, and SO SHALL WE! Do relaxation exercises and try to not use energy on being afraid of a different future. You might be stronger then you think! Look at the beauty around you, the plants in your window, a bird outside ... We shall survive in some way or other! |

I got furloughed yesterday. I got to the store at 645am because I’m on my last rol of toilet paper. But I’ll have to wait till 7:30 since it’s seniors only. I’m going to get sick waiting in the cold waiting next to all these people. Also the seniors were not standing 6 feet apart...
I updated my resume last night and will have some people read it over. I am applying for unemployment today. I’m working on my website even though there’s not much to put in there. I’m writing and trying to work on my art skills. Some people are baking lots and talking about buying stuff on Amazon but I am on a low budget diet. I haven’t cashed in my tax returns yet. I don’t know if banks are open. Last night I was counting all my money. It’s all well and good to have a positive attitude but I was raised never to take vacations, to scrounge every penny, and to be very dissatisfied. I’m sure I’ll survive but survival is bullshkt. I feel for the people who just got out of college who get laid off and have to start all over again. I was talking to a boomer who said his house was now worth over a million. He said when he was in his twenties he got a good return on a condo he bought. Millennials don’t have that option. |

I'm feeling pretty good lately, which is kind of strange. I guess mainly because I had two tests that followed up from surgery I had five years ago and both results are very good. I was disappointed that my MRI was cancelled. But I'm really not "out of the woods" on this. There are seasons when it goes pretty good. It's a load off my mind since I won't be having any kind of procedure for a while (or I hope that possibility would be gone for good) and no medical expenses with it.
As you know, we have to isolate and stay apart socially now. This hasn't made a significant difference for me since I've been doing that for years all along anyways. But it feels like a loss for me still probably because, before this, there would be hope of breaking that ice. |

I wanted my psychiatrist to clear me for a full work schedule beginning next week, but he only cleared me for four days a week. At our next appointment in two weeks I'll ask him to clear me for a full schedule, so I can get to working overtime and earning back some money to pay off some debts.
Our appointment was on the phone only, and future appointments will be on the phone as well, because the building where his office is located has closed due to the coronavirus. |

I am fine! I thought that the Spring had come, but snow outside.
The laughing icon is because of the total crasy world situation with every thing turned up side down. Now even snow ... We need a lot of humor to adapt to this time ... and of cource no denial of the seriousness ... |

Depressed. I hate this constant threat that just going to the supermarket could get me horribly sick. And I don't see that threat lifting anytime soon. We may have to live this way for months.
I'm neglecting my s.o. I'm tired of being depended on for so much. I'm just sick and tired of what has gone on for way longer than I or anyone could possibly have expected. I look at him and think. "For God's sake, give up the ghost already." Other times, I don't want him to leave me. |

I don't feel well today! I have tried the best I have been able to and been good these weeks, but today it became unbearable to not know how many months the preventation of the Covid-19 will last ....
I will go through my notes and toolbox to prevent deeper depression tonight. |

What's to say we'll ever be safe from this virus? What's to say it won't be lurking arount in perpetuity? Yeah, people in equatorial Africa live under this kind of threat all the time. So we're spoiled. We're accustomed to a certain level of security that's been blown out of the water. Like most Americans of my generation and younger, I've never lived in a war-torn region or in a disease-infested environment. So the people of under-developed countries can now say, "Welcome to our world." Mabe it's time we got a taste of how the other half lives. We lack the adaptation of having grown up with this kind of threat. It sucks. All Americans simultaneously are under the constraint of "social distancing," not just me. I know. But I've been confined to this 2 room apartment with my s.o. for years now, as his caregiver. Going to Walmart and Sam's Club were my outlets. Shopping was my only recreation . . . my only chance to walk around and stretch my legs. I contented myself with that. I asked for nothing more. Now I don't have that. And I don't see it coming back in a few weeks . . . or a few months. That's the collective delusion we're entertaining as a nation - that "we'll get through this . . . together." Oh, I subscribed to that, like everyone else . . . till a little bit ago. Today it occurred to me: This is not a plague of locusts that darkens the sky, descends, wreaks havoc, and then disperses far away, or gets eaten by birds. That virus has been around for hundreds of years - living in horse-shoe faced bats, who aren't made sick by it. Now it's found us. This is going to be like small pox. Until there's a vaccine AND almost everyone gets vaccinated, it will be in our midst - lurking. I'm depressed. |

I had a phone conversation with an Oncologist today. It would have been in person if it were not for (well, you know what!) and also I would have had the MRI if it were not cancelled. We had a nice chat. He recommended to continue taking medication to keep things under control. And there will be more check ups in two months. I'm confused about whether I will get an MRI or not.
Other than that, still coping with this Covid thing, like everyone else is. |
