Over the past few months I haven't been feeling myself. It started with feeling anxious a lot and physically run down. I've had several medical tests done before and the results were normal. My PCP gave me some medication for anxiety attacks.
After a few weeks I started to feel better physically. Mentally I still feel anxious at times. Its usually worse in the mornings. I'm able to get rest, but I get restless sleeping early in the mornings. My appetite seems fine. I still carry on with my daily routine. Occasionally I'll feel like I can't concentrate as well. At times I feel empty or don't get as much pleasure like I did before. I tend to dwell on negative thoughts more than positive ones. I'm not sure if it's depression or not. This was sudden and I've never had any mental issues in the past. It doesn't run in my family either. I've just had stressful experiences at times. I hope I can feel more like myself again eventually. |

Part of what is going on, I feel is a stress response. You discussed behavioral change but not how you feel. Are you in touch with your emotions? Talking to someone may be of good use of time. Meditation would help a lot to slow down the stress response.

I've been under a lot of stress over the past few years. Usually I'd handle it well and move on. This time I think it has really got a good hold on me. Sometimes I'd feel so bad I was thinking maybe it was something serious. At times I really didn't feel like myself at all. I'd feel very anxious, emotionally numb, or empty feeling. Now I feel like I can see gradual improvements with how I'm feeling. I've been keeping busy with hobbies and socializing again some. Hopefully I can straighten things out and find some peace again soon.

Stress can do a lot of different things to the body and mind. And some you may not even be aware of. (google if you are curious)
Adding hobbies and socializing does help!! I'm glad it's working for you! |
