Of Possible Interest:
Yesterday I listened to a podcast featuring a couple of former police officers. They told lots of stories, and at one point they talked about mental illness. Neither officer suffered from a mental illness, but they spoke about people they dealt with, about fellow officers, and about others they knew who did have various mental illnesses. What caught my attention was their agreement, on the basis of their (non-medical) observations and experiences, how ineffective psych meds seemed to be in resolving mental illness.

It was interesting to get that perspective from an unusual source.

rohag this could be a real good one you brought up...
the model of causation is bio/psy/soc...
the meds may help with the bio...
but do they help with the psy/soc...
and there is a model which adds econ and pol...
but this is a really good post rohag...

Very depressed with very low energy and motivation. I feel I can't cope any more. I sometimes wish I were dead but then my poor helpless animals will become homeless and suffer and die. I gotta drag on for them. I feel like a castaway, as if i have been thrown away like trash. God please do something good for me soon, PLEASE
Love and respect to all on the AS IS bus.
