My appointment with the Optician went well. I only needed to adjust my glasses a little. No need for new glasses. Ahh, that's good. To buy three new pairs (walking, reading and data) would have become very expensive.
But still I have to think about my work situation. May be I don't have enough light and perhaps I don't sit in the right posture in front of my data machine. I have to think about it if I shall invest in a better chair and another lamp. After 45 minutes from now I will wash the floor as intended. Tomorrow I will use all my available time in my storage room (after I have been on a 20 minutes slow walk). May you all feel that what you are able to do is OK (either little or much)! |

@GoGo2 Do you already have three pairs? I got my first set of progressive lenses a few months ago and still hate them. I would really love a pair just for the computer.
I don't even want to look at what I said I would do yesterday. I am still not working on my writing and research projects which makes me feel guilty. I still don't want to work on them today. I also built up a backlog of tasks and my solution is to not look at my task list. 1. Look at task list. 2. Clean out email. 3. Tidy bedroom 4. 5 minutes each, portfolio, workshop, homework |

I haven't done much today but sleep and play games. I have to clean litter boxes. That will be my main focus today. I hope all of you are well!

I bought my first reading glasses at a gas station 20 years ago. They were cheap, but useful. May be 5 - 7 years later I needed "walking glasses". The optician made them progressive. After a while I found out that to read for a long time gave me pain in my eyes. I went to the optician again and was told that science had come to the same conclusion: Progressive glasses could not be used for reading for a long time. I was advised to buy extra glasses for reading and so I did. They were OK for a long time, but after a while I had pain when using my PC. Now the optician told me that I needed three pairs. One pair of progressive "walking glasses". That one should be of help so I could see my surroundings properly and at the same time read what they had in the grocery shops (read prices and so on). The reading glasses was for reading only. While the data glasses were for PC or Mac only. For a long time I have started to have "light" headaches until I felt that my forehead almost was going to explode last Sunday. At Thursday I visited the optician again. When he heard that I use my reading glasses when I use my PC, he said that one shall never use such glasses when doing work on PC. I have my data glasses on my nose writing this, even if I like the fashion of the reading glasses better (I bought these (data) at the lowes price I could find three years ago.). What really helped, now, was the adjustment he did on my ordinary glasses for daily use. They don't fall down any more and sit where they are to sit even if I bow my head in physical exercises. He sat me up for a new appointment in two years form now. If I need new glasses at that time, I will choose lenses for daily use and one pair of progressive data- and reading glasses (combined) to wear on top of the lenses. I wish you good luck to adjust to your progressive lenses.! I have a relative who is very satisfided with progressive lenses. If you use a very long time to feel comfortable with your lenses, may be you can try a combination of lenses and glasses. All the best! |

I took an assessment in therapy yesterday and it showed high caregiver burnout. I’m going to need to make some changes in my life. I’m currently getting everything ready for my daughter to visit this weekend. I’m really looking forward to that.
1. Clean house 2. Grocery I hope everyone has a peaceful weekend! |

I hope you have a wonderful visit with your daughter, @Jennifer 1967.
@GoGo2, thank you for the info on glasses. I had no idea computer glasses were even a thing until *after* I had my new progressive lenses in my hands. Up until recently, I just had a long distance prescription and would take my glasses off to read at length or use the computer. Using the computer with no glasses was uncomfortable for the past year or so, so I got a new script - but using with progressives just does not work for me. I am often using a laptop in my lap, so looking down, and that doesn't seem to work well with progressives. I just found out I'm diabetic so I want to get that under control and revisit the glasses issue in a few months since I think that is playing a part.My husband has progressives and works on the pc all day and loves them. I finished all of my tasks (though the bedroom could be tidier). Not only that, I did a five minute task I've been dreading for over a year. I feel accomplished. |

Please tell exactly what problems you have in your work when you visit the optician next time. I wish you good luck with getting control with your diabetes. I am a diabetic myself. A good weekend to you! |

I managed to clean 3 litter boxes today and I did some cooking. I will rest for the remainder of the day. I don't feel well emotionally. I hope all of you are doing well.

I had a lovely visit with my daughter. It was a very relaxing weekend. Tomorrow:
1. Clean one room 2. Visit my brother 3. Handle my brother’s business affairs There are also a few things I’m going to do just for me: get a spa pedicure, float and walk in the park. I hope everyone has a great Monday! |

I cooked today and I opened packages. I'm tired now and will go to bed. I don't know about tomorrow. I'm having groceries delivered. I hope it's a good start to the week for everyone!

Good morning! My weekend was OK, but I have to admit that I fell for a temptation yesterday. I usually don't have sweets at home because of my diabetes, but this time I had and I ate too much of them. Feel ashamed , but luckily yesterday is gone and a new week has started. I feel tired, but will do what has to be done this day.
Plan for today: - Make trash ready to be carried out. - Fill dishwasher. - Fill washing machine (have to do that more than once). - De-clutter tables. - Storage room. - Grocery shop. - Carry out the trash during the day. May you all feel that what you are able to do is OK (either little or much)! |

The days goes fast these days. I feel more tired than usual. My level of blood glucose has become normal again. I had an appointment with the dentist yesterday.
Today my main focus will be: - Fill dishwasher. - Clean one table. - Work in the storage room. May you all feel that what you are able to do is OK (either little or much)! |

I didn't post goals yesterday but had a great morning. Some deadlines are coming up so I need to get on the ball.
1. Portfolio - aiming for a rough draft in one week. 2. Homework due next week. 3. Dishes |

My brother will be coming home with a rolling walker on Friday. I am conserving my energy as it will be a transition and his care will fall to me. Today I have 3 Zoom meetings. It just turned out that way. I’m going to float and get my nails done. I’ll also take the trash out and complete 6 simple tasks in 2 rooms - 3 each while I can. Finally, I will complete my homework for Thursday’s therapy session. Thursday I am taking completely off aside from therapy so today is okay.
I hope everyone has a peaceful Wednesday. |
