This is an important topic to me. The intimate connections I’ve had throughout life have always been with those who are artists or musicians and it’s not because of their craft, or their skills but because of their emotions, which are generally much deeper in thought and feelings and much more sensitive and more negative emotions which is the basis in the mind for all great works of art. My wife, who I met in art school in Nee Mexico in the 1980’s always told me that she felt “ lost” until she attended college with other artists and discovered the commonalities between herself and other artists.
I’ve been reflective of myself and my own depression a lot more lately because of my growing interest in performing as a guitarist and the bit of struggle I have had with my emotions lately.

Art for me is the expression of the more intimate thoughts, emotions and feelings. It’s kind of a scape route for those. I guess this is why an artist feels himself so satisfied once he creates. It’s a way to stay at peace with whatever happened to him.

Have you heard singers, painters, etc saying that their art saved them in many occasions? I encourage you to play the guitar. It must be a marvellous way to stay focus so you’re mind is gonna stop to play bad games (it never gets tired) and then, you get the satisfaction to spend your time doing something beautiful and nice. Music rises spirits.

I like to write and to do crafts. And it makes me feel very well.
