Been thinking about the 80s a lot, when I was a teenager. What with Bowie dying, and now Prince. I can't quite believe it. And so many others. Victoria Wood yesterday. Anyway, while I was surfing, I came across Adam Ant. This is his music Adam Ant | New Music And Songs |. Like a lot of people, he sort of disappeared from the scene as trends changed. And then I read he has bipolar Adam Ant: 'To be a pop star you need sex, subversion, style and humour' | Music | The Guardian. Even been IP.

What artists do you like that you know have bipolar? I think it makes people more creative. Might be hard to live that way, but they bring happiness to such a lot of others through their work.

This was one of my favourites.
Thanks for this!

Sometimes I hear the lyrics in a song and I think, that artist MUST be bipolar because it speaks to me so strongly. Example: Florence and the Machine

I thought Sinead has BPD. I really love her and hope she is doing well. I wonder about several musicians (some alive, some have sadly and tragically passed), but don't have enough info to speculate with any certainty.

Emilie Autumn. A lot of her songs are about her experiences with bipolar. She also wrote a book called 'The Asylum for Wayward Victorian Girls' in which she writes about her experiences after being hospitalized for a suicide attempt in a psychological hospital. A lot of the material came from her personal diary she kept while hospitalized.

Amy Whinehouse.

Mostly a bipolar personality though, maybe. But she apparently said she had BP, at least.

Arguably driven/pushed off a cliff by the tabloids/media and her management. Very, very sad.

Just search Google - famous people who are or were bipolar, and the list is very long indeed. Also actors list.
