Maybe someone can help me. Yesterday and today I have been shaking, agitated and panicked. I don't know what is wrong. Usually, I can stay calm but I am so close to tears and pacing, pacing. I keep calling my son and they aren't home, I went to the park yesterday and sat in the sun but it was too cold to stay. I have been like this before. Yesterday, I took 2 lorazepam and it worked some. please, my therapist doesn't call me back most of the time. I want to throw up. Am I having a panic attack or am I starting to feel the anniversity of my former marriage. It is on the 20th. We were married for 34 years then he decided he didn't want me anymore. I was in a mental hosp when he served me w/papers and I was left homeless. My family came to my rescue. I'm crying now so maybe that will be a release for me. pj56

Can you do something that is soothing? Would a warm bath or shower help? Have you eaten anything today that will help?
When I've been in situations like yours it has helped me to take a hot bath, get into comfy clothing, and wrap up in warm blankets while watching a comedy or reading a fun book.

Maybe it's the impending anniversary that is stirring up the feelings? I agree with the warm bath, some food...and then a nap.

Have you thought about instead of staying in when your anniversary comes around how about go out? dress up! go to a movie! go to a nice resturant, make yourself feel beautiful!

Absoulutly the approach of the 20th is enough to induce a major a panic attack!! If your therapist does not provide you the support you need, maybe you should look into finding a new one. What you have been through is devistating. It's something that will take years to get over. Try to do anything you can to distract yourself everytime the date approaches.
