I have been told in the past I am hard to intibate because of the scar tissue in my windpipe. Is this going to make it that I can't have ECT? I plan on calling the hospital that would be doing it on Monday and see what they say but thought I'd get you guys input also. I asked my doc's nurse what she thought as my doc used to do ECT and she said he had a patient like that and he was still able to do it. I am just trying to cover all bases because I don't want to get to Little Rock and then have them say well sorry we cant do it.

i think they can accomodate that by using a smaller tube, but you're doing good by asking them. it's always good to let them know ahead of time, so they can get a solution in place for that problem. i figure, since there's always someone with a similar problem as yours, that most have an experience with it and know what to do.
i never had ect treatments, but i just had a vns therapy pulse generator implanted last wednesday. it will be turned on on the 12th. |

I called the clinic that would be doing my ECT and they told me they couldn't do my ECT until I get below 262. So now its the weight thing again. It frustrates me to no end that everything I do comes down to I'm to fat to do anything.
