(((HAPPY BIRTHDAY))). I have a tendency to think that Having a Job is more important than the job if you are successful in the job you are doing. You can Still be a Parking Attendant and feel successful in life. Take care and hoping you have a better day. Soidhonia

happy be-early birthday.

You are not a failure. I'm almost 22, and I can safely say that being where you're at at 21 is not the end of the world, because things can and will get better.

Fight! Fight! I used to feel that way at that age. I just sat waiting, to wake up on the verge of fourty, and feel a horrible feeling of regret. Look around, scream, kick, but do something, for God's sake!!!

Happy Birthday! Don't be so hard on yourself. For some of us, it takes a while to figure out what we want to do/be. I had a friend who graduated from Yale then became an ice cream truck driver. Most of us will have lots of different jobs in our lives. And look at how many people have graduated with huge debts.

As a frog of little brain I should probably not be giving any advice.

You will probably not believe this but being half way to forty is a whole lot better than being half way over forty.

Stating the obvious seems a little lame but I take it you have no desire to be a parking attendant for the rest of your life.

You flunked out of collage because you could not see where you were going. Collage was not meeting your needs. At some point in the future it may be a path to success.

You life is not half over it is only just beginning. If nothing else you at least know one job you don't want to do the rest of your life.

It can be a rather rough ride but keep trying. As you experience life keep your eyes and heart open. The opportunity is out there.

Happy birthday, hmmph!
Well, I flunked 5 subjects in college. I thought it was the end of me. Then after that, more bad things came about - I got admitted to a psychiatric ward, death of someone, took another 4-month leave off University. GAH. But you know what, I'm back again. I'm continuing my studies this coming June ;]

Success doesn't necessarily mean getting a college diploma, having nice cars, and all - you dictate your own success. For example, I can say I'm successful if I save up enough money so I can live on my own in a year's time. ;] In reality, I'm really pessimistic person... there's just some few things I'm really optimistic about. I'm really learning to be optimistic about life, which is hard by the way. >.>

And you know what, I'm even thinking of working at a coffee shop first during this time... if I have enough money, I'd study again abroad. You'll just never know what can happen next!!

Happy Birthday. I'm 46 and a shelf stacker in a supermarket and came to realise with time, that its not the job that matters, its how I treat myself as I do my job. Hey people have to eat and I see my job as doing a service as much as any other job.

Um... well I am 40 and not quite where I want to be and I just wanted to tell you that you are still growing and changing (we really all are) and at your age you're just starting out with lots of time ahead of you. And what you do for a living doesn't make you a failure. You're earning an income and that's doing a lot.
