Ok, i am not motivated at all to do anything. Today i was told to take a shower how sad is that. Anyways, i was thinking my whole room and bathroom and my area of the house is a complete mess, Maybe it is contributing to my depression and if i sanitized it and made it a lot cleaner it would help a little. Does anyone think that this might help. And if so where do i start i have no idea and i dont know if i can get it clean i have so much stuff for school everywhere.

Know the feeling... my place is a pigsty. Oddly, I'm motivated to clean the kitchen (which I share with my roommate) ... but not motivated to clean my own room, which I *know* needs to be done... soon!

What about doing it in small pieces? Like identifying what needs to be done (like taking out the garbage, doing dishes, doing laundry) and do those first? And then take a break (self-care, try to do something enjoyable) and then try to go onto another task (like maybe washing or vacuuming the floor)?

That's a good step! Any way you can get some help? Idk. Offer to buy food for your friends who help you clean?

(It worked for me when I moved... not sure about cleaning though)

I know once I started out with boxes....papers, clothes things like that. Then one at a time I went through each box.

I worked on papers first since that included bills as well as magazines, junk mail. Then it was pay, file or throw out.
Have to admit I didn't always work on the "need to do now" box.

My dirty dishes seem to stack up in a hurry and I can't remember eating all that food.

I was told to do just one thing each day...then you can enjoy the feeling of accomplishment.

Good luck

I think it can DEFINITELY help.

How to go about it?/ Make into a fun project/game/challenge. What's the most efficient way you can get it done? Play with a few options, but just start doing something. Ideas will come as you're already working and you may decide to change up your scheme. Just make sure to finish the job.

Good luck!

They say if your environment is cluttered then your mind can seem cluttered too. My house is such a mess, but I have found just cleaning up one little area can help. Getting motivated to do it can be hard though.

I'm a believer in the old adage "one room at a time". It really makes a difference seeing one room clean, then another, then another....

Good luck,
Dee
