I've been catching up on the forums before going to bed. And a happy little thought crossed my mind: I've been so busy writing the biographies for the past two weeks -- and I thought of being busy doing something I enjoy -- "I love this."

Holy moly, when was the last time that I thought, even for a fraction of a second that I "loved" anything in the now. Loving anything about my life has been part of an increasingly distant past.

Okay, so it was a fleeting thought. This afternoon I was terrified about finding an apartment that I like, and how to manage getting my truckload of stuff from Florida to New Orleans. Plus, a friend has arranged for me to be interviewed for a very good job in Boston, and that had thrown me into a tailspin. What if I rent an apartment and have to break the least? Worse, what if I buy a home and have to rent it for 2 years til I can sell it? (For Canadians, Brits, and other non US -- you have to hold a personal home for 2 years before selling it or you get hit with a steep "capital gains tax. And you have to sell for a higher price to cover the "closing costs" of buying and selling.)

So I can make myself a nervous wreck over just about anything -- but how wonderful to have this thought -- that I love something about my life.

And I know that happened partly because of all the love and support I've received on the forums. I really think that people here have helped to save my life. Or at least, to help give me back a life that may even be worth living one of these days.

Hi, Wants2Fly.

Fact is, you're a good writer. It's genuine communication, and people care about what's happening for you.

Good luck with the apartment,

Myzen, Imagine This: I've had a happy thought

Hi, Wants2Fly,

You are always here for us, giving very sensitive, caring, sound, logical, & meaningful comments to our problems. Your talent to communicate through thought & writing comes out here & we all benefit from you. When we can return even a little support to help you through your hard times, then we are giving just a little back for all you have given us.

The better you feel about yourself, the better things will turn out in your life. Glad you are feeling so good,
Debbie

How wonderful to have a happy thought! Those few moments when you have the realization make it all worthwhile, it seems (at least to me). They come so seldom - it is like a blast of cool air on a hot summer day! And I agree with the others - you always have interesting and illuminating things to say which are always helpful - your advice and words of wisdom give a lot of us strength.

aw gee.... hey don't let it go to your head... Imagine This: I've had a happy thought good that you could verbalize this... and aren't afraid of it. Some ppl feel that if you voice a good thought that others will forget how terrible you feel most of the time, so they never share the good that occurs.

What can I say? How wonderful!!!

(((((((Wants2Fly)))))) thanks for sharing this. You need more of these thoughts, this is so great to hear.

I agree with all of the comments that have been made. You give a great deal in this forum and I thank you for this. I love it when I read positive things from others, nice to know that things aren't always as they may seem. There are good days, good thoughts, and so much hope. I often sit and think how truly amazing it is too see how many people that come onto this forum and have been through such difficulties, yet they see the positives in life as well. This takes stength from within and your one of them. I envy all of you and find you all so interesting. I have gained knowledge from you and can never say that I didn't learn something new at any given time after reading what is said here.

Thanks for the good energy, keep it up!!!! Your great.

Justy
