Does anyone know of depression being a factor in causing people to make very bad financial decisions? Any articles, doctor's statements, anything at all? I'm not talking about Bi-polar. Just ordinary depression. Thanks

Well, impulsiveness or "addictive behaviour" could be related to spending money irresponsibly and depression as well... it certainly seems to fit in my case. Or I just like spending money. *shrug*

Could also be self-destructive behaviour. I know quite often when I'm very unhappy, I intentionally put myself into situations (Financial etc) which can be hard to recover from.
