Two days in a row I've had a good day! Two!! AND my dad had surgery today AND I had to deal with my sister AND a bad phone call. And I'm ok. The other day my t was telling me how my feelings of worthlessness and failure and such are like habits. I've been doing them so long. Then he asked me how I get dressed in the morning. So I told him, then he said, "I bet if I asked you to change the order of how you get dressed for a week, it would be hard. If I said put your shirt on first, then your socks, then your pants, you would probably have a very hard time doing it. It's the same thing with thoughts." So yesterday and today I made a conscious effort to not get dressed in the same order to prove to myself I can do it. And I had good days. Not that they are related, but I can change that, so maybe I'm not totally hopeless! I had several instances today where I felt bad and had to change my thinking before it I let it consume me. Especially in dealing with my sister. But I did it. Just wanted to share how much I like the number two right now!!!

Good for you!
I like how you tried something new, tested yourself ... and are seeing things differently. It's key, I think, to moving forward. One step, one idea, one change at a time... You are doing really well! And I feel that when we accept ourselves, in spite of the circumstances around us, and appreciate the good days we all can have (that are a thought away in many cases), we seem to develop a skill at making room for many, many more to come! boy, that is really great to hear what you are learning. you said it really well. sometimes a part of the problem is habits of thinking wrongly. just changing your thoughts is not a totally cure all, BUT, boy is it a help!!! =)
