Two days in a row I've had a good day! Two!! AND my dad had surgery today AND I had to deal with my sister AND a bad phone call. And I'm ok. The other day my t was telling me how my feelings of worthlessness and failure and such are like habits. I've been doing them so long. Then he asked me how I get dressed in the morning. So I told him, then he said, "I bet if I asked you to change the order of how you get dressed for a week, it would be hard. If I said put your shirt on first, then your socks, then your pants, you would probably have a very hard time doing it. It's the same thing with thoughts." So yesterday and today I made a conscious effort to not get dressed in the same order to prove to myself I can do it. And I had good days. Not that they are related, but I can change that, so maybe I'm not totally hopeless! I had several instances today where I felt bad and had to change my thinking before it I let it consume me. Especially in dealing with my sister. But I did it. Just wanted to share how much I like the number two right now!!!

Good for you!

I like how you tried something new, tested yourself ... and are seeing things differently.

It's key, I think, to moving forward. One step, one idea, one change at a time...

You are doing really well!

And I feel that when we accept ourselves, in spite of the circumstances around us, and appreciate the good days we all can have (that are a thought away in many cases), we seem to develop a skill at making room for many, many more to come!

Thanks for sharing this here.

peace and well-being,
night

boy, that is really great to hear what you are learning. you said it really well. sometimes a part of the problem is habits of thinking wrongly. just changing your thoughts is not a totally cure all, BUT, boy is it a help!!! =)

Keep it up... you know it can happen now and if a bad day comes along, just think to yourself... "but I had good days! I had good days, even though things happened that may have normally knocked me down"... and the more you believe you can do it and the more good days you have the easier it'll get

oh I'm so happy for you hun
Take care,
Molly
