“Memories” encircle you with the stepping-stones of your life. You choose which path will be the next you follow. By providing entertainment, teaching lessons, shouting encouragement and giving support, you learn from each journey. When you return to “memories” you are better equipped to meet your next adventure.

Here I am, standing in the center, “memories”, looking out upon the world. There are no pathways leading from the center. I only see worthlessness. What happened to my journeys, entertainment, lessons, encouragement and support? Did I ever even have them?

In “memories” nothing surrounds me but emptiness. Tears seem the only part of “memories” I have. Maybe that is why I’m the frog of little brain.

I've got some pretty dreadful memories that I wouldn't wish on anyone. I can look around me now and see though things aren't great, I'll never have to live the way I had to way back when...

My friend, you are very dear to me, I'm grateful to have you in my life. (((((((((( Keb ))))))))))

(((Kebs)))) may i share your place of little wisdom you have created here? at times i too need to assess what it is, what's going on... i need to do evaluations and determinations and make decisions and at times the cogs, the wheels, the gears, the grease, the smoke and the sound of the whistle can be overwhelming.. we all have to rest on the journey at times... i am hoping direction finds you... meanwhile, sending my sincere hope that you begin to enjoy our gift of breath... i will hope some small thing will give you the glimmer you are looking for....

I agree Pegasus there are many childhood memories I would rather not repeat. It is that I have memories like anyone, then nothing. My body continues to travel through life but my brain stopped.

I'm very glad you are my friend to ((((( Peg )))))

My dear friend you are always welcome to spend time in my space. I do have to worn you the lily pad is a little leaky after all the storms this summer. Whether I can find my way or not well I just don't know.
Perhaps because I have few memories of the past I don't have enough direction to know where I'm going.

It is very difficult to explain and even more difficult for others to understand. You see and recognize people but don't remember the essence that make them who they are. It's almost like living in a vacuum. Their essence is there but just out of reach.

The worse part is when you answer the phone and the caller says "Hey". That's how my youngest son answers the phone. And that once simple word sends my emotions into a tail spin. I don't remember him...How can you not remember your own family.

I guess I need those kleenex, Muffy.

kebs its sad that those memories are hiding from you, i dont know how i would cope, what about keeping a journel of simple things that happens each day, like son called write his name what you talked about

even the things like being on pc winning the thread war, as you start to write things down maybe little bits will come bk, you could even add a pioc of each person as you go through this journey

(((((((((((kebs))))))))))))))))

we are here for you and listen to you

Kebs...I love the froggy!
Have always appreciated your posts here!

I too am having trouble with memories. I try to visualize the path ahead of me with clean stepping stones, none of the clutter from the past, and remember to be in the present. It's tough work, but I'm trying. Maybe we can try together.

Love
Patty

((Kebs)))) maybe some memories are better left behind.. maybe not... some memories block me from feeling what is healthy... in time the memories return for me as the precaution tape is removed.. maybe the same is true for you, i dont really know, but maybe your sensories can let you feel a bit of connection here, now... it may fade, but come again.. asking for kindness, to be heard, to know we matter or that anyone anywhere cares is important to us all... dont let yourself disconnect from so many loving people Kebs..

Oh nowheretorun, I appreciate you being here at PC. You're great friends and mean the world to me. When my friends come and go I can even understand that. Not necessarily like it but understand. Life goes on.

With Matt it is any entirely different story. He is family, not only a friend. And it is never the same thing that starts the pain. This time a phone call. A while back I found a hand puppet he made for one of this classes. Or a stupid poster he had made in the mall with his picture that says "Double Trouble" Oh I don't want to go on.

I do thank all my friends here for your friendship and support.

Kebs! That is exactly what my friend M tells me everytime "if you would see me really you would loath me". She is damn wrong! So are you.
Supposedly little brain, undoubtedly big heart

I don't know M but I know how much you care about her. Perhaps her feelings come from fear, I don't know.

You know you are a very important friend to me. Big heart???? I don't know about that. But I keep you in my thoughts often.

The little brain, well it got me into this mess in the first place. The memory loss has eaten away at me day by day. It hurts. Even the tears no longer ease the pain.
