Hi Everyone

I feel sad and lonely most of the time. I go to college and have very very few "friends"...I feel like an outsider. I go home and all I have is my dog. I am stressed out about school and homework...etc.

I want to cry but the tears wont come.

((((((((zen))))))) At least with the dogs you have unconditional love! But I know what you mean about having few friends. I don't have anyone here I'd call to go "hang out". I can offer hugs, but someone else will have to give advice because I'm in the same boat (or scow )

((((((((( zen ))))))))))))) I am sorry that you are feeling sad and lonely. Have you tried to see if you can get in any support groups in your area? Does your school have social clubs that might interest you? I had no friends irl until I started group therapy, now I have made a few friends that I have a lot in common with. Good luck I know making new friends can be scary, just go at your own speed.

Zen,

I'm sorry to hear that. I feel the same way. I'm surrounded by people who I don't feel that I have anything in common with. LOL. & I've been here for 3 years!

Just try to stay active, work out, take up a hobby. Just keep activity in your life. It will be of tremendous help. Hope to talk to you more.

I know how you feel. I've been in college for about three and a half years, and have very few people I actually consider to be friends. I know there's no replacement for human companionship, but seriously, cherish your dog. I got two cats two years ago, and they've been the best support group I could ask for. Your dog will love you no matter what, and won't ever lie to you (unless it chewed something up... then he/she might try to make you think it was somebody else XD).

As for school, grades are overrated. What really matters is how much you learn and what skills you pick up based on the materials presented to you. Keep that in mind and try to relax about school some

When it comes to getting that human companionship, the most important step is to get yourself out there. It doesn't take a lot of people, just even one or two you really can get to know, trust, and have a good time with. What're you interested in? Find people with similar interests. The best way is to just listen. If you hear people talking about something you really like, feel free to just pipe on in. Sure, it can be kinda creepy, but the ones who really are interested and appreciate your interest in it will gladly welcome you into the conversation. It's frustrating and takes time, but it eventually works ^_^.

Feel free to PM me if you want =D

Good luck, and hope you start feeling better! Give your puppy a pet for me =^'.'^=
