so, we talk a few minutes, to the effect of i ran out of meds a week ago and i'm depressed because i don't have friends and i'm stressed... through my evasiveness. he ups the wellbutrin and gives me my scripts. then asks "any suicidal thoughts?" "eh..." (was he even listening for an answer?) "ok, i want to see you again in two months." "ok..." and we're done. why was i ever worried he'd commit me? sure, he should've, or at least asked more questions. but i never had anything to worry about with this guy.

Dear Tao, When you plant lettuce, if it does not grow well, you don't blame the lettuce. You look for reasons it is not doing well. It may need fertilizer or more water or less sun .... Yet, if we have problems with our family and friends, we feel the shame & blame. But if we knew how to take care of each other we would all grow well, like the lettuce. Blaming has no positive effect at all, nor does trying to persuade using reasons & argument. That is my experience. If you understand & show that you understand, you can love, & the situation may change.
