I started out with male PPD which I think has progressed into full on depression. I have been thinking about suicide very often recently and have even done research on some things. I keep thinking I want to do it but can not get up the courage to attempt anything. I try to stay positive and look at the positive things but they are becoming few and far between.

Have you considered seeking therapy? Depression can be treated, please don't hurt yourself. If you ever feel like you are in immediate danger call for help or go to the hospital, anything to keep yourself safe. Things can get better.

I am struggling with those kind of feelings lately too so I will tell you what my T told me last night on the subject. She said to remember that they are just thoughts and as long as you don't plan on acting on them to just let them be thoughts. Thoughts pass naturally through our minds, in and out they are just feelings. I know how disturbing these kind of things can be, try doing things that you enjoy sometimes that is helpful for me. Last night I sat around the computer listening to music with my kids, all of us were singing as loud as we could, I can't tell you how much help that was to me. What I am trying to say is it can be something very simple that brings you back from the deeps of depression if only for a minute. I know that a week seems like a long time but at least now you know that help is on the way.

gimmeice is right in some ways as long as they are just thoughts.....hang in there. I know what you are going thru. I had my depression undercontrol and then I have been sick for a month so it is really irritating me.
